How to join BESA

There are two ways of becoming a member of BESA.

Firstly, if you attend BESA’s Annual Conference you are automatically a full member for one year, from 1 July to 31 June.

Secondly, you can join by sending a completed application form and cheque to the Membership Secretary. Both these memberships last for one year, from 1 July to 31 June.

Types of Membership, Benefits and Costs

As a BESA member, you will be entitled to a reduced registration fee for the Annual British Education Studies Association conference and free access to the BESA Bulletin and on-line journal, Educationalfutures.

Individual Membership £25

This is membership for individuals engaged in the teaching of, research into, or the study of Education Studies (or in an associated discipline) in Higher Education.

This fee may also be paid as part of the conference fee.

Student Membership £10

Student subscription is available for full or part-time students on proof of student status, e.g. letter from university.

Method of Payment

BESA’s subscription year is from 1 July to 31 June each year. All membership subscriptions should be made payable by cheque made out to BESA.
